Really now people...what in the world is our family supposed to do about the results of Hope's "Middle Name" poll?? I am tickled we had such a great poll response, but I had no idea that we were going to have two middle name candidates so neck and neck.
I think we are going to need some more involved voter participation. And a good dose of honesty. (Not that Tom Builder and I can't make our own decisions...but the man has already suggested that maybe we should go with the name that has the lowest vote and say we wanted to be different.) So for Hope's namesake, leave us your comments as to why or why we should not go with Olivia or Evangeline as a middle name. And if you didn't go with either, send us your plea or your second choice. Be brutal. Be specific. Be biased.

So you really are up at 4am, you crazy woman. You already know my reasons for Olivia, so I won't bother you once more with them. However, I do need to say one more time--just for the record: no, I'm not dishonestly skewing the poll by voting more than once! Oh, and here's a good reason NOT to go with Evangeline--the child will never learn how to write her full name. I know this from experience (Alexandra).
I really like how Hope Evangeline sounds...When I picked my names I always picked something that flowed, and I like the way Hope Evangeline flows!! Hope Olivia is nice too...I just like how Hope Evangeline flows...My kids are Taelin Aubynee Victoria, Jorgia Tamryn Marie, and Cohen Lynton Daniel

I always thought Olivia was a pretty name, but the cadence of Evangeline after the single syllable of Hope is just delightful. Regardless, your girl will have a beautiful name and already has plenty of fans.
As for her blog moniker, what about Her Highness Hope or Duchess Dimples or Duchess of Drool? We have not met the little darling yet, but surely there will be a dimple to be had!

Something to ponder...and coming to you sans bias this time:
Evangeline means "Good news" (ties in with Hope and of course the hope of Christ is THE Good News.)
Olivia means peace which is always a good thing! :-)
I was about to look up both names but Katy did for you already. I say on a humorous (but real!) note that you have come to terms with the fact that "peace" (in the conventional sense) is a thing of the past with that houseful- its a blissful resolution to enjoy chaos, and you seem to troop through it very well. But since Evangeline means "good news," then I say go with that since in the midst of the lack of peace and unavoidable chaotic bliss- you could use a little good news now and then:) And of course the bottom line is that is just flows with such incredible grace- some things are just meant to go together! Good luck and I am rooting for those real contractions to do the trick...take notes, I still don't know what they are either!!! You are in my prayers!!!

For goondess sakes...name the kid Hope Olivia, will ya? I think that was my vote 8 months ago back in the old house! Anyway, I won't state what Hope's oldest uncle's exact comments are, but putting it nicely..."Enough is enough! Stop tormenting the poor kid!"

Hope Evangeline sounds beautiful....but it's so *personal* right? Hope has been one of my favorite girl names.
So how do you not go to the OB/midwife for a whole month? It seems like they have me going to the midwife every couple of weeks or every week at the end. If we are so blessed to be in your situation again, I would prefer to not have so many appointments with so many littles at home.

Amo, someone is cheating! You need to check the 'guts' of your poll. Clearly Hope Olivia should be the winner! :o) But more importantly, I agree, Hope Olivia flows much better and is just natural. If you go with the 'E' name, she is going to be one confused little girl because the 'Adams' familiy across town will be calling her Hope Olivia! Feel better and send me your grocery list...I MEAN IT! I will even pay with the mysterious money I found in my wallet today.
You may never visit this blog again after you read this, but my personal favorite is Hope Evangeline (I've just ousted all of my non-cyberspace friends) and Tom Builder's favorites are Hope Juliette and Hope Caroline (which has just about every other reader rolling their eyes and throwing up their hands.) We can't be helped. I know.
But Cam, I ADORE all of the blog monikers you created for Hope. They are wonderful!!

I actually have to admit that I like Evangeline--it's pretty; it's unique; and as a missionary kid, I like the "evangelist" root in the name. Olivia was worth a try, though--and once I start my argument, I figure I ought to defend my opinion to the bitter end. :-)
Okay I admit I MAY have voted for Evangeline more than once. It IS a grandmother's prerogative. No one has mentioned that the name "Evangeline" has the word "angel" in it. I am certain that she will be an "angelic" child, but don't quote me on that and don't remind me of it years from now. Besides I really like the name.
