She is beautiful! And you say she is sleeping through the night? I really want to know what I am doing wrong. Ben is my sixth, he is already 9 months and just like all the others at this age he does not sleep through the night. The most I can get from him is 5 hours and once in a while he might give me 8- but it is rare. I enjoy reading your posts on life, even if you don't post much lately- I understand :) Congrats on the eggs- maybe one day we will join you in that venture. I would like to but am not sure our city allows stuff like that around here- ferial cats, large mice, roaches even (none of which we have!) but chickens?
I seem to have very little time lately to visit the blog with school and work. As I await the arrival of your little sister's plane, I thought I would see what's up at the Halley Hen House. My little "Schnicklefritz" doesn't look anything like the baby I kissed good-bye just two months ago. Wow, how she has changed. She takes after you in the sleeping through the night category. At 8 weeks you started sleeping 12 hours every night. How many new mom's can put their newborn to bed at 9 PM and sleep in until 9 AM the next morning. I was the envy of all the other Marine's wives. If you get tired of her just say the word and I'll make the trip to get her.
I need your home address for christmas cards...now that you moved I don't have it...and your email address I don't have either so I have had to resort to blogging to get the info;) You can either post on my blog or just email me at: bellezzaphoto@yahoo.com Thanks Luv! Hope all is well with your precious clan! Love, Kateri
My reflections on motherhood, marriage, and faith. A tribute to the daily adventures of caring after a conservative, entrepreneurial, stay-at-home family.

BORN: OCTOBER 15TH, 2007
Our family would like to extend a giant thank you to everyone who has cheered us on over the last nine months and who in good sport participated in our "Name Hope" poll. We are thrilled to be able to finally share our newest blessing in full color.
HOMESCHOOL: OUTSIDE THE BOX
We are a Christian family that follows Charlotte Mason's philosophy of education and character formation. Our family blog documents the Ambleside Online curriculum of living books and nature study with our added Montessori flair.
Please Note: The Homeschool Blog is currently being merged into this blog. Posts from years back will be added as time permits.
AT THE CORE
One God, One Lord, One Family. Eleven amazing years of marriage to one very talented and entrepreneur savvy Tom Builder, 3 homeschooled merry crumb crunchers and number four in the pressure cooker, one windfall business and another still waiting for the wind to fill its sails, and now, 12 acres of horse farm heaven waiting for our family to fix up, move in and call home.
Welcome to the wildly blessed world of The Knucker Hatches. Where two middle aged candles are always burning at both ends, and the projects never get finished...but everybody is thankful to be home.
